Parent Resources Family Resource Programmes

Parent Resources exists to provide a supportive, tangible resource to all parents and children in Toronto East. Its objectives are to alleviate stresses on parents and children, to reduce isolation, to improve the quality of parenting within the target population, to increase the coping abilities of parents and to enhance the quality of family life especially for high risk parents and children in the community. This is accomplished through the provision of parent relief programs, child enrichment techniques, supportive counseling, ongoing outreach and other related methods. Parent Resources provides its service via professionally trained staff under the direction of a community-based Board with committed parent volunteers at the core of its decision-making process.
