ACCELERATION SHREDDING IS A LOCALLY OWNED AND FAMILY OPERATED COMPANY BASED IN FORT ST. JOHN, BRITISH COLUMBIA. Acceleration Shredding was started by a brother/sister team, Tyrell Heal and Lindsay Heal, with the goal of creating a safe and secure option for document disposal. Acceleration Shredding's parent company, Acceleration Signs Ltd., has been serving the Peace Region since 2006. Initially, the company specialized in portable sign rentals and sign sales. In 2008, a new division was launched, Acceleration Shredding, to provide on-site confidential document shredding. In 2011, the company expanded its operations again to include waste and recycling services, operating as Recycle-It Resource Recovery.
